A Market is only as good as its traders: they will affect the atmosphere, attraction, and success of the events, and the choice of traders will directly impact the support we receive from local businesses.
Our core principles:
- Evesham Town first: businesses already trading within the town centre are encouraged to get involved with the Market; we will be doing everything we can to support you.
- Community: we are keen to work with community groups, charities, and other organisations who promote the area and its people, and there may be scope for reduced fees or even free stalls for some groups.
- Location: we are not convinced setting strict distance limits is beneficial, rather we will seek the ‘nearest and best’ stallholders.
- Provenance: stalls selling traceable, quality products will be prioritised, and we will encourage sharing of appropriate information (e.g. homemade, organic, free-range etc.).
- Genuine: there has been a prevalence of AI-generated art at many craft markets over the past few years; we believe it has a negative effect and will select stallholders with ‘real’ products.
