A common point of conflict with town markets is the feeling from local businesses that their customers are being ‘stolen’ by the market, something we recognise and are keen to avoid.
We see Evesham Charter Market as ‘Evesham-first’, i.e. we want to prioritise, promote, and celebrate the businesses which already exist in the town.
The Market will be organised and arranged so as to encourage exploration of the entire town centre, rather than creating a ‘fenced-in’ area where bricks-and-mortar businesses feel excluded.
Businesses already trading within the town centre will be the first to be offered the opportunity to take part in the Market.
